Delete your account and data

Developer: Alazka Technologies · Package com.deenapps.qurancompanion · Updated 10 October 2026

You can delete your Quran Companion account at any time. Deletion is permanent: favourites, notes, reading progress and settings stored in the cloud are erased and cannot be recovered.

Option 1: in the app (immediate)

  1. Open Quran Companion and go to Settings.
  2. Under Privacy, tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm. The app deletes your cloud data, then the account, then clears personal data from the phone.

If you signed in a long time ago, you may be asked to sign in again first. This is a security requirement for account deletion.

Option 2: by email (if you no longer have the app)

Send an email from the address you used to sign up, with the subject "Delete my Quran Companion account", to:

info@alazkatechnologies.com

We verify that the email comes from the account's address, delete the account and its cloud data, and reply to confirm. Requests are completed within 30 days, usually much sooner.

What is deleted

DataDeleted
Firebase account (email, display name, password hash)Yes, immediately
Favourites, folders, notesYes, immediately
Reading progress, goal history, Tasbeeh sessions, favourite duas, synced settingsYes, immediately
Data on the phone itselfCleared by the in-app option; otherwise removed when you uninstall the app
Google Play subscription recordsKept by Google Play under its own policy; cancel the subscription in the Play Store

No data is retained after deletion, except transient backups that Google's infrastructure purges automatically within a short period.

Deleting data without closing the account

Signing out in Settings removes synced data from that phone but keeps the account. To clear specific items, delete them in the app (notes, favourites, Tasbeeh history) and they are removed from the cloud as well.
